Fuyu’s PPM Blog

I saw some streaming sites. The following site is helpful, because there are collected sites which we can see for free in it.

It has many categories like news, movie, animation, sports and so on. I can find easily what I want. In many streaming sites there are some helpful information, but there are so many commercial films or most of them are kind of junk. When I see them for 10 or 20 sec and if I’m not interested in it, I skip and leave its site. It looks like a channel zapping of tv. And I am sometimes  able to find very funny or helpful things on streaming which I can not see on TV.

 Broadcasting is basically one direction casting from a station to a watcher, but recently DVR is getting popular, so they can skip commercials and see only what they want. In this meaning, the styles of watching tv and internet streaming site are getting similar together.
 In other hand, streaming has a problem of rights management. Broadcasting companies usually have contracts of programs to broadcast by electric wave, but they don’t have contracts to broadcast to internet. But recently changing thought of rights is gradually evolving. They are getting think that too much strict regulations might let users leave. It might take much time, but in near future we can see many programs without noticing whether they are provided via broadcasting or internet.

 But the style of watching streaming is basically active. They sit in front of PC and hit a keyboard and search something interesting. Otherwise the style of watching TV is basically passive. It depends on them, but I think that in these years both styles exist together.
 
 

According to the instruction video of flash video basics, I made a small flv player, but it was difficult. I will complete this later.

Last sunday it was blizzard. I was staying at home all day. I shooted blizzard form my apartment. It was beautiful. I love snow, because I was born in winter. My name “Fuyu” means winter in Japanese.

Las Vegas in 2002

4 years ago I went to Las Vegas with my friend. We stayed at Venetian hotel which concept is Itally. We enjoyed some shows, buffet and casino. we anticipated that we won, but… we lost much money. But enjoyed so much. As my memory, I made this short music clip.

 In addition, I changed my blog. First I used Blogger, but I tried WordPress. So I realized WordPress is easy to use and have many functions. I imported my posts from Blogger.  I also tried “feedburner” for Blogger. I suceeded to feed RSS.

House Momoi

This house music song was made by my friend. In this music there were some lines like interjections. They are Momoi Kaori’s lines. She is a famous Japanese actress who played in the recent movie “Geisya”,too. Her voices are quoted from the old movie “Giwaku” which was made in 1970’s. In its movie her acting was so surprising and funny, so my friend made this music.Let’s listen! Cool!

By my phone I posted my first Podcasting using by AudioBlogger and it was so easy, just call it.
I reported what I felt at my apartment like a news reporter.(kidding!)

Until last class I’ve just used only Podcasting function in iTune as a podcast aggregator. But I tried to install and use “Juice”. It was helpful and interesting, but I felt that iTune is better useful, because iTune is more graphical and has many recommendations.

In the other hand, I installed “Lunascape” , which is a internet browser explored by japanese company, to try to use RSS and Podcasting functions. Lunascape has many functions, for instance, to custamize design, RSS function, podcast fucntion and son on. Its user interface is very similar to IE, so it is easy to use. I tried to see some RSS channels, it comes out newest news and topics soon, so it is helpful for me. But I felt that it is difficult to find information which I really want to get because of too much information. So I need to customize to be more helpful to me.
